Good raincover, Strange Smells

As a displaced PNW resident the design gives me a nice little nod to home but I do have to agree with the other reviews ans wonder why exactly the cover smells strongly of fish oil. Not Rancid fish oil, thank goodness, but just fishyness. Letting the cover air out for a week or more also doesn't resolve the issue. Would be good to get some recommendations on how exactly to neutralize that smell and then for future buyers, remove whatever you put on there that creates the fish smell.

Cheers!

Nice Rain Cover

I've never had a rain cover before so nothing to compare to but it does a good job keeping the backpack dry,. The pattern looks nice and seems to reflect pretty well. It also comes with a little pouch to put it in after you have let it dry. Is easy to put on and take off and seemed pretty easy to dry off once I got home.

It looks so cool in person, worth it for keeping electronics safe from downpouring rain wearing the LTT backpack

Great cover with minor suggestions for improvement

Like any LTT product, I trust the quality and effort put into this rain cover, and I believe the price is justified due to the cost of engineering and manufacturing. However, for the price, I would have preferred that the design had a bit more of a cachet—like creating a rainbow northern lights effect when exposed to rain in daylight—or some other engineered concept, such as external pockets with YKK zippers built in, even if it increased the cost. Given that if I am going to be paying $39.99, I might as well pay a bit more for some extras to justify the high price.

As for the existing features, the only thing I don't like is the mechanism for tightening the cover. For some reason, it feels a bit cheap, and although this is purely speculative for now, I worry that the woven thread part of it will loosen or fray over time. I would have preferred something more durable and easier to tighten than the existing woven thread and push device. My concern comes from experience with similar products where the thread frays over time. However, take this complaint with a grain of salt because nothing has happened yet.

Now, on to the reason I give this backpack five stars:

The good:
I love the innovation of creating a beautiful design that not only looks great but also improves visibility in low-light conditions. The design looks absolutely awesome when illuminated by a flashlight or other external lights. I also appreciate how comfortably it fits—without a strap going down my back and causing discomfort, as some competing rain covers do. Most importantly to me, it comes with an external carrying pouch for storage, so I don’t have to put anything wet inside my backpack or risk misplacing it. The carrying pouch feels high-quality, easy to store, and simple to attach to my backpack.

Overall, despite my complaints, I find this to be a great rain cover and only wish it had a few minor improvements or additional features.
